Peterson Contractors, Inc. has been in the heavy and highway construction business since 1964 when founded by Cordell Q. Peterson. He was later joined by Gale M. “Cork” Peterson, Jr. The Company was incorporated under the laws of Iowa in 1966. Located in Reinbeck, Iowa, PCI is involved with projects throughout the state of Iowa and the entire continental United States. PCI has vast experience in grading, site work, demolition, crushing, structures, Geopiers®, deep foundations, earth retention, and design-build projects.
PCI is authorized to work in the following states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, CT, CO, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MS, MT, MO, NE, ND, ND, NM, OH, OR, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, AND WY.
The PCI workforce consists of twenty-three project managers, of which thirteen are construction engineers, over fifty foreman, and up to 550 tradespersons. The workforce is supported by an extensive administrative staff that includes four Certified Public Accountants and a safety director.
